The Thin Line

I did the first day of the photography challenge and grew bored by the second day. I deleted the first day off. I am sorry, you guys. BUT! I am going to mix up three challenges – bloggers and creative writing and photography. Cool?

I am in the library’s group zone. Can I get a round of applause? Really. Little bit of a secret though – it’s really quite empty, so it’s almost like the silent zone. So yay for me. You know what I think? There should be a silent zone option in life. Like you know, they have it on phones and libraries, so why not give us humans the option of just being in a silent zone forever. Hang on, that’s the D word. Let’s eliminate the thought then, yeah? Why be so morbid so early in the morning.

HERE, TAKE SOME POSITIVE THOUGHTS AND KIND WORDS:

YOU ARE A LOVELY HUMAN BEING AND YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS, AND SMILE, BECAUSE SOMEONE IN THE WORLD LOVES YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE.

I do hope that is sufficient positivity.

You know what I thought about last night right before bed? We all live under the assumption that there is rule-book about life. That we have to follow the rules or then be deemed stupid and worthless. For example, we all (well most of us) live thinking that we have to do so and so by a certain age, and that a certain age means you can no longer do so and so, and that being a woman means you cannot indulge in certain things, and that being a man means you have to be a certain someone. The truth is, though, that these so called rules are a social contruct. They do not exist. I swear. It’s just a whole load of crap created by the very society that tells you to be yourself. Truth is, society is such a hyprcrite. Don’t conform to these non existant rules, you guys. They don’t even matter. Don’t ever think about what they would think of you. Because the way I see it, we are all one of a kind, and we should embrace that. Without for a second, feeling apprehensive about it. There’s a thin line between loving yourself and loving what society tells you to love about yourself. And that thin line is acceptance. Accept yourself the way you are. Because, gosh, you are so fucking incredible.

I have to run now. I have a lecture.

See you later,

Darth Vader’s disciple.
