About

Writing for me is like coming home. Words feel like home. They are joy, comfort, safety, love (and all of the other really good stuff.)

I have been writing for nine-odd years now. Sometimes journalism, sometimes short stories, sometimes just really random stuff.

For me to write about myself is a little bit awkward. But here is just the basics: I am in my late-20s. I’m Kenyan-Indian. I don’t really know what I am doing with my life, and more than 90% of the time, I just wing it.

I recently figured that writing is like fashion. Wait, hear me out. Not everyone is really going to like what you’re wearing. But you have a style anyway, right? And you do it for you, right? (These yous are all addressed to me, by the way, but it’s great if you can relate!)

So, my writing, like my fashion sense isn’t really A+, front row, feautured in Vogue (or whatever fashion magazine) but it’s mine, right?

So this whole blog was created for me to practise writing. And somewhere along the lines (haha) I panicked and said, but this isn’t great.

Does it have to be?

It’s just words. Words are comfort. So here are all my words. Enjoy (or not!) I am just here, really trying.
